CENTER STRUCTURE

The center is administered by the Department of French, which is part of the School of Literatures, Cultures and Linguistics, located within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

PROFILE

The center partners with various departments in the University, with the Title VI centers (particularly with the European Union Center), and with International Programs and Studies. It fosters interdisciplinary projects by contributing seed funding and serves as a conduit for information to students, faculty, and the community at large about scholarships and grants, study abroad opportunities, and cultural events sent by the Services culturels at the consulate in Chicago and at the embassy in Washington, D. C. It encourages connections between research teams and universities in France and at the University of Illinois.
