What? A 10-hour training course allowing participants to appropriate the methodology of professional French.
Who? Teachers, trainers, coordinators or administrative staff of community colleges wishing to integrate and/or develop a professional French course.
A training workshop fully adapted to Community College teachers’ needs:
Covering all levels of French
More synchronous sessions for better guidance and support (at least one introductory and one concluding synchronous sequence)
Ready-made classes, exercises and workshops in French for specific purposes that can be directly reproduced in class
Tips on how to include French for specific purposes exercises into a more traditional French lesson

Synchronous virtual workshops
Proposed program
The training will alternate theoretical contributions in large groups and practical application in sub-groups. The content of each micro-training will be contextualized to the business field and adapted to the needs of the Community Colleges' teachers.
The following topics will be covered:
The specificities of the teaching of professional French
The resources available (programs, manuals, websites)
The different phases of the pedagogical session
Techniques of animation: simulations and games in class
The Diplomas of Professional French Business A1-A2
The workshop is held in French.
Eligibility
Ph.D. students, lecturers, associate professors, professors and assistant professors from American community colleges willing to implement a curriculum in professional French are invited to apply.
Maximum number of participants : 20.
