The Paris Ile-de-France Chamber of Commerce and Industry represents 670,000 companies and is convinced that the French language provides a way to improve company performance and is a professional advantage for individuals. Since 1958, the CCI Paris Ile-de-France mission has included offering tests and diplomas, along with tools to prepare for them, and training teachers in to develop and deliver French for specific purposes courses.
Business French Diplomas
Created in 1958, Business French Diplomas (DFP) certify the ability to use French for work in a specific sector. They enable professionals to distinguish themselves in the international marketplace.
Business French Diplomas enhance the mastery of French in the following sectors:

By whom are they recognized?
Designed and delivered for over 60 years by the Paris Ile-de-France Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Business French Diplomas benefit from the influence of one of the most powerful chambers in Europe and in the world, which represents the interests of more than 800,000 companies.
These diplomas were also very quickly adopted by schools of the Paris Ile-de-France Chamber of Commerce and Industry and their partner schools around the world. Business French Diplomas are recognized by HEC Paris and CEMS, The Global Alliance in Management Education, which brings together more than 30 Business Schools worldwide.
In the United States, more than 30 universities have integrated Business French Diplomas into their curricula and nearly 1,000 students per year from these universities graduate with a Business French Diploma.
How to take the tests?
Business French Diplomas are intended for all students and professionals who wish to attest their level of French in a professional context. The tests are open to candidates over the age of 16. You can either take the tests directly, or enroll in a preparation program in one of the approved centers. The tests are taken online and followed by an oral interview. They are divided into two parts:
1- Written (Understand and process information) (between 45 min and 2h depending on the level)
- Process written information
- Processing oral information
- Interact in writing
2- Oral (between 5 and 15 min depending on the level with a preparation time)
- Two role-playing activities
