UPDATE: This year, we're hiring more TAPIF assistants than ever before! We are hiring 1,600 asistants for the 2019-2020 school year, 400 more positions than in years past. We encourage all who are interested to apply!

The application for the program is now available at tapif.org.

Applicants are notified of selection in early April. Acceptance e-mails specify the French Académie (school district) to which the applicant is assigned. All placements are final. If accepted, awards cannot be deferred to the following academic year.

READY TO APPLY?

Applications for 2019-2020 are NOW OPEN at tapif.org.
Extended Deadline for 2019-2020:  February 10, 2019

Please select USA when creating your account in order to apply for the American program (for U.S. citizens and permanent residents).

We want to make it easy for you to reapply if you have submitted an application in the past four years (for the 2016-2017 school year or later). If you submited an application in the past, and wish to access your previous application, please follow these steps:

1 - Create a new dossier for 2019-2020 at tapif.org by clicking Sign-Up. You can use an email address you have used in the past, but you'll need to create a new password and verify this.

2 - Email the Program Manager at natalie.cox@diplomatie.gouv.fr with the subject line PREVIOUS APPLICANT. In the email, please list your full name, the year you applied in the past, and the email address you used for both the past application and the 2019-2020 application.

We will then transfer your dossier to the 2019-2020 school year and email you with new log-in information. You’ll be able to log-in to see your old completed application. You can modify it, or submit it as it is. You’ll still be required to pay the application fee. (Note: You must have SUBMITTED your application in the past in order to access this information. If you started an application but did not submit it, we are not able to use that application for this school year.)
