Innovation Policy Internship Program

The Embassy of France in the United States offers American students from partner institutions the opportunity to engage in a 8-week internship program in France. The Innovation Policy Internship Program is designed to inspire a new generation of students committed to promoting innovation and change in the public sector.

The 2018 edition of the program was successfully held in Toulouse where students from MIT and Harvard worked with their French counterparts to solve structural issues in prestigious French government state and local offices.

The 2019 edition of the Innovation Policy Internship Program, extended to students from French Embassy Centers of Excellence, offered new and exciting opportunities for interns to have a real impact on French local policies by initiating and designing their own project in Toulouse and Strasbourg. The program included a one-week seminar in a French political institute to better understand the socio-economic and political environment in France and in Europe, as well as a two-day hackathon to brainstorm in teams on the topic identified by the host institution.
