Innovation Policy Internship Program

For the second year, the Embassy of France in the United States offers American students from partner institutions the opportunity to engage in a 8-week internship in France. The Innovation Policy Internship Program is designed to inspire a new cohort of policy leaders committed to promoting innovation and change in the public sector.

The 2018 edition of the program was successfully held in Toulouse where students from MIT and Harvard worked with their French counterparts to solve structural issues in prestigious French government state and local offices.

The 2019 edition of the Innovation Policy Internship Program will offer new and exciting opportunities to interns who will have a real impact on French local policies by initiating and designing a project.

2019 Program :

Week 1 (June 1st-9th, 2019) :
Interns will be invited to arrive at their host city on June 1st or 2nd, 2019 and will have a one-week seminar in a French institution  to better understand the socio economic and political environment in France.

Week 2 (June 10th-16th, 2019) :
Interns will become familiar with their host institution and will attend a 48-hour hackathon to work on the topic identified by the host institution.

Week 3 to 8 (June 17th - July 28th, 2019) :
Interns will implement proposed solution within the host institution in partnership with a French intern.
