Summary of the Project

Georgetown University organized a kick-off public lecture in April 2014 to raise awareness of the D-Day anniversary. A second component of the program will take place within the context of Prof. Andrew Sobanet's undergradaute seminar " Representation and Remembering : The Nazi occupation in French literature and Film". Prof. Sobanet is planning a variety of activities including students fields trip to D-Day sites of interest in Washington D.C. and the National D-Day Memorial in Bedford Virginia. The third component of the Georgetown program consist of a veteran's outreach project organized by Prof. Barbara Mujica.
