Summary of the Project

The "New Look at the French-Based Creol Architecture of New Orleans" project is an on-going multi-year research program. The larger project involves surveys of the historic districs of New Orleans and the establishement of a website at which researchers and the public may obtain information on specific historic properties and parcels.

Other specific projects include:
- A conference on the typology of French-derived New Orleans building types
- A first GPS-based survey of the historic properties of the French QUarter of New Orleans
- A pilot website for the presentation of historical, artistic survey and architectural information on the properties of the Vieux Carre.
