Summer 2020 Bootcamps

Students from the Science and Technology for Sports Bootcamp in Paris.

Please note that this program has been postponed to Summer 2021.

The Cultural Services of the French Embassy is thrilled to announce the fourth edition of the the Community College in France (CCF) Summer Bootcamps program.

CCF Summer Bootcamps are immersive, cohort-style study abroad programs that focus on experiential learning, industry site-visits, cultural excursions, and professional development. With an eye toward innovation and equity for a sustainable future the CCF Summer Bootcamps are offering 5 forward-thinking programs for Summer 2020:

Female Business Founders: (Postponed to Summer 2021)
Green Innovation in Industry, Sciences & for All: (Postponed to Summer 2021)
Sciences & Technologies for Sports: (Postponed to Summer 2021)
Mountains in a Changing World:
June 22 - July 10 in the French Alps, and
Sustainable Design: July 6 - July 19 in Paris.

Since 2017 the Bootcamp programs have exemplified the French Embassy’s mission to provide opportunities to American students traditionally underrepresented in study abroad programs. Currently more than 40% of U.S. college students attend community colleges, but only 1.7% of students who study abroad are from community colleges.* To address this deficit the CCF Summer Bootcamps provide a unique opportunity for community college students to study in France with a high-quality academic program at a financially accessible price point. In 2020, CCF will award 45 scholarships to applicants who are accepted into one of the Bootcamp programs.

Applications are being accepted on a rolling basis for the Summer Bootcamps until March 16. Students of all nationalities are encouraged to apply. For more information about the application process please visit the Bootcamps page.
